Wroxham Barns acquired Harriet the Hippo for £1,000 at Sunday night’s auction following North Walsham’s Hippo Trail.

Harriet will live with Cammy (Camouflagephant), one of the stars of last year’s Go Elephants who moved to Wroxham Barns last September following her spell in St Julian’s Alley, Norwich.
Around 30 members of The Voyager Community Group, North Walsham painted Harriet. The drop-in group meets at St Benet’s Hall North Walsham on Monday and Wednesdays. Harriet has a purple head and back, red toenails, a gold necklace and is decorated with items relating to Voyager Group activities e.g. computer, bird (birdwatching), keep fit, cup of tea, jigsaw puzzle and scrabble.
Harriet’s ‘husband‘ Hugo is staying with The Voyager Group but will be making a visit to Wroxham Barns later this summer to see Harriet in her new home.
