Life's a 'Doddle' in the Norfolk Broads

‘Doddle’, Junior Farm, Wroxham Barns’ Simmental heifer was third in her class at Saturday’s Norwich Livestock Christmas Show.
It is a great turnaround in ‘Doddle’s’ fortunes as she was abandoned as a calf. Her original owner asked Junior Farm to look after the ailing heifer who was born in May. Bottle-fed three times a day, her survival was touch and go, but thanks to the dedication of Junior Farm staff and visitors, Doddle has blossomed into an award-winning heifer.
Eileen Calverley, Junior Farm Manager said: “It is the first time we have entered the Norwich Livestock Show and we are really pleased with ‘Doddle’s’ success, especially as she had such a difficult start to life. We are hoping to breed more award-winners from ‘Doddle’ who will stay at Junior Farm.”
