W.B. welcomes new craftswoman
Sculptor Sue Windley, a former student of the Norwich School of Art, has this month joined the craftsmen at Wroxham Barns in Hoveton.Sue, who has moved back to Norfolk from Cumbria, has exhibited extensively across the UK. Her work, which is primarily inspired by nature, has been shown at the Surrey Sculpture Society in Polesden Lacey, the Woodstock Museum in Oxford and, more locally, at the John Innes Centre and the Grapevine Gallery in Norwich.
Sue’s work ranges in size from small pieces created to be held, up to lifesize model figures. She uses a wide range of materials including stone, wood, plastic, resin and paint.
Ian Russell, director of Wroxham Barns, said "We have not had a resident sculptor at Wroxham Barns before so we are very excited by Sue joining us. She will both complement, and add an extra dimension to, the range of crafts taking place here and I am sure her work will prove immensely popular with our visitors."
