LeGrice Roses defy wet to win gold
Bill Le Grice Roses of Wroxham Barns are celebrating after being awarded a Large Gold Medal for their display of roses at the New Forest and Hampshire County Show yesterday. This builds on their earlier successes their summer including a Silver Gilt at Hampton Court Show and a Large Gold at the Royal Norfolk Show."All our display roses are field-grown and have suffered quite a bit of rain-damage because of the wet weather, so we all had to work extra hard this year to make our displays worthy of gold. It is wonderful to have that extra effort recognised by the judges," said company secretary Liz Barnes.
The mixed colour roses were all grown in Norfolk.
